Open Mobile System Gets Windows Mobile API Support?

You’ll probably remember the OPhone, which runs on the Open Mobile System (OMS), Mobile’s supposedly modified Android OS? OMS has moved from version 1.5 to 2.0, and there are some rather interesting updates. Aside from the Scalable Vector Graphics UI elements, as well as voice recognition, the most intriguing is the support for the Windows Mobile API. Does that update mean that Windows Mobile apps will be able to run natively in OMS via a compatibility layer? Considering that there is a rather large catalog of Windows Mobile apps out there, whether OMS is able to run Windows Mobile apps, it would certainly be favorable to it. There isn’t any mention of any phones that will be getting version 2.0 just yet, but hopefully something will happen soon.
